I just tried a RF 2x extender and, RF-EF adapter and a EF 75-300 lens and the Rx Extender won't attach with the adapter. Yes, when I had a 6d, it would not focus my 400mm f/5.6L prime at 560mm f/8 with the 1.4x iii extender, but the 5d iii and 6d ii will. Like all 2× teleconverters, it doubles the lens' focal length, at the expense of losing two stops of speed (doubling the f/number).
